🦉 Owl Doorstop & Cotton Sateen Pillowcase Workshop 🦉

Looking for a creative and practical school holiday activity? In this fun and hands-on April workshop, kids will sew their very own adorable owl doorstop and a beautiful cotton sateen pillowcase to take home.

Designed especially for creative kids, this workshop builds confidence on the sewing machine while teaching essential skills and simple construction techniques. The owl doorstop is both cute and functional, while the soft cotton sateen pillowcase adds a stylish handmade touch to any bedroom.

All materials are included, and beginners are very welcome. It’s the perfect holiday project for kids who love to make, create and feel proud of something they’ve sewn themselves.

  • Date: Tuesday 7th April 2026

  • 9am till 3pm

  • Denim is base fabric for the owl and Cotton Sateen Pillowcase comes in White and Sky Blue.

  • Students will be making just one pillowcase, no pillow supplied.

  • No sewing experience required

  • Suitable for kids aged 8+

  • Located in Ryde

  • Everything supplied (except food - recess and lunch)

  • Limited spots available – maximum of 10 students for this workshop, so book early!

Creative Kids vouchers welcome.

  1. There are no refunds or credits issued for change of your availability or personal circumstances

  2. If you are unable to attend for any reason you may pass your spot onto someone else. Please contact me nikki@sewingwithnikki.com.au to let me know.

  3. If I am unable to hold the workshop for any reason, all students will receive a full refund. (A credit will be issued for Service NSW Vouchers)

  4. Minimum age for kids workshops is 8 years.

  5. ENCLOSED shoes are a MUST for the workshop.

  6. NSW Creative Kids vouchers are welcome for workshops and classes over $50. No Refunds on Creative Kids Vouchers.

  7. Minimum numbers are required for the class/workshop to go ahead; refunds will be issued if Sewing with Nikki cancels a class.
